Mocha books literacy club earn a free book

To improve and support literacy in our homes and our community, this year we begin our literacy club. The general purpose of literacy club is to give youth the opportunity to earn a free book of their choice in exchange for a written or oral report of something they have previously read. One tip that should always be encouraged with young readers - let them choose their reading selection. A love for reading comes from being presented as a gift, not a chore.

Readers will earn the chance to take home a free book at our monthly community pop up. Books are recommended for ages 5-14.

We are working to include how to earn books for children under 5.

The books are generously donated by authors and other supporters. Our biggest donation [December 2018] has come from 50 States 50 books - a literacy project dedicated to donating books to expose diverse literature to youth.
